The 5 by 5 Surprise
Inspired by the book SIMPLE ABUNDANCE, I’d like to throw out an experiment for you: for the next 5 days…at the end of the day….write down 5 things that you were thankful for. Simple, I know. But I think you will be surprised. Surprised at the effect that gratitude has on your outlook on life. If you are like me you will begin to notice things that will allow you to express your thanksgiving and even start expecting them to happen.
It’s not rocket science…any ole scrap of paper or notebook beside your bed will do. BUT it is important to write them down….because these simple life pleasures often get thrown in the corner of the memory warehouse.
And if like the experiment, think about trying it for 5 weeks….and then 5 months.
