Blessing: Sprinkling your world with good
BENEDICTUS: Think of a friend…visualize them…and now pronounce aloud the latin word “benedictus” (or you could say “blessing” or “bless them” or “may they be blessed”). Now allow the network of friendships that you share with that person lead you to another friend…visualize them…now pronounce your blessing on them…allow a crazy, random, free association of friends to parade through your mind while you sprinkle your blessing on them all.
SETTING FOCUS: Take some time to focus on just one person you want to bless. Imagine them placed into various beautiful settings that represent being blessed. For instance:
• Standing in a tropical waterfall, with eyes closed and arms extended as if trying to receive all the waterfall has to offer
• Standing on a mountain top as a single ray of sunlight that burst through the heavy clouds is shining right on them
• Seated in the sand of a calm beach as wave after gentle wave washes up around them
Variation 1: draw a picture of this friend in one of these settings
Variation 2: now take a few minutes to send them a letter or email of encouragement or appreciation. (Include the picture if you want)
